Rock What?

RockVox ® is a modern choir at Gigabull ® complimenting the work we do with the bands we tutor.

The songs and skills we develop will initially be based the voices we have in the room and over time this will be synchronised with the songs our student bands are working on so that on occasion we can bring you  together to prepare for performance.

  • Covering a variety of modern and traditional styles including  Rock, Pop, Jazz, Reggae e.t.c  We teach you how to front a band or sing backing vocals. As performances approach we can pair you with any of our bands who may need singers. 

  • Repertoire will include the likes of Van Morrison, Red Hot Chile Peppers, Eva Cassidy, Blues Brothers, Thin Lizzy, Gloria Gaynor, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Paul Weller, Darius Rucker, Eric Clapton, Deep Purple, Kansas, The Eagles, Marvin Gaye, Earth Wind and Fire, Stevie Wonder and many more:

    • The type of songs may include, Wade In The Water, Brown Eyed Girl, Lean On Me, Wagon Wheel, Sweet Home Alabama, I Will Survive, Killing Me Softly With His Song, September, I heard it Through the Grapevine e.t.c

  • Music reading not required, but always a bonus!

RockVox ® meet once a week on Wednesdays at 7pm until 9pm for a two hour session in Trumpington at the Bakehouse on Grantchester Road.

Tutored by a seasoned professional gigging singer.

Your probationary membership period is free of charge and without obligation.

Please fill out our application form so that we can get you booked in. (The duration of the probationary period may differ depending on demand. i.e. In spring 2025 the probationary period is 4 weeks)

Fees for membership after the probationary period the are £14.00 per session (£7.00 phr) charged monthly (terms and conditions apply).

*This is a senior choir, teenagers may attend but under 18yr olds must be accompanied throughout by a parent or guardian.
